Covid Booster Vaccinations - our Federation (Hartlepool & Stockton Health) will be contacting patients to book appointments for their Covid Booster in the Town Hall, Raby Road very soon.  Patients will be contacted 6 months following their second Covid Vaccination.

PRESCRIPTIONS - Due to the problems we are all facing with Coronavirus (Covid - 19) the practice will accept prescription requests over the telephone, for the foreseeable future, for patients who have no access to the internet.  We have taken this action to reduce the risks to patients attending the surgery unnecessarily.  We also recommend patients nominate a pharmacy of their choice to enable us to send prescriptions electronically.

SPECIALIST STOP SMOKING SERVICE SESSIONS - Hartlepool - Sessions are available at various locations/times in Hartlepool Monday-Saturday, please go to Clinics & Services link to view more detailed

Tees Public Health Shared Service has implemented Lung Health Check Programme for the early detection of lung disease.

In line with the programme and, as people who smoke are at higher risk of developing lung conditions, it has been agreed that stop smoking services will identify people with 3 or more risk factors and refer them for further investigation.

Risk factors are:

  • a current smoker
  • aged 35 years and over
  • is experiencing shortness of breath during simple tasks
  • coughs several times most days
  • bring up lots of phlegm or mucus when coughing
  • wheezes when breathing

Whilst the surgery can offer Spirometry (Breathing Test) appointments we are quite limited in when we can offer these. Therefore if you have been identified as meeting 3 or more of the above criteria, the Stop Smoking Service can offer you an appointment for further assessment and a spirometry test - they offer appointment at the following three venues:

Thursday 9.30 to 12.00non at One Life, Park Road, Hartlepool, TS24 7PW

Thursday 1.00pm to 2.30pm at Rossmere Way Children's Centre, Hartlepool, TS25 5EB

Friday 10.00am to 11.30am - Miers Ave Children's Centre, Hartlepool, TS24 9JQ

Please telephone the Stop Smoking Service on 01642 383819 to make an appointment.
