PRESCRIPTIONS - Due to the problems we are all facing with Coronavirus (Covid - 19) the practice will accept prescription requests over the telephone, for the foreseeable future, for patients who have no access to the internet.  We have taken this action to reduce the risks to patients attending the surgery unnecessarily.  We also recommend patients nominate a pharmacy of their choice to enable us to send prescriptions electronically.

Flu Programme 2020

The Dept of Health has made changes to the Influenza Programme for 2018-19 and as a result we will be offering two different vaccines to patients depending on their age.

Over 65 years (including patients turning 65 before 31/3/2021) will be offered an Adjuvanted Trivalent Vaccine only.

Under 65 years with a clinical risk condition will be offered a Quadrivalent Vaccine only.

We will also be offering children aged 2 and 3 years only the Nasal Flu here in the surgery. Reception children to Year 5 will be offered this in school.

The vaccines will be delivered in stages from two different suppliers and priority will be given initially to patients over 75 years, in care homes and the housebound as per the Dept of Health’s guidelines.

We request your kind consideration during this year’s Influenza Programme and thank you for you co-operation.
